Description:
ENVI BioScout™ is a bioaerosol detector intended to operate as an integral biosensor in fixed and mobile EnviScreen® CBRN Monitoring Systems with EnviScreen Operix 2010 software providing the user interface, but various communication interfaces enable easy integration to 3rd party systems as well. In addition, modular design provides various interfaces for integration of additional modules like a remote alarm unit, an additional sample collector, a battery pack, a BWA identifier unit etc. to the device. PRODUCT DETAILS The bioaerosol detector combines three functions in a single device: Continuous monitoring of ambient air for 0,5 – 10 µm particles based on fluorescence and elastic scattering measurements Early-warning for detected potential airborne biological threat agents including vegetative bacteria, spores, viruses and rickettsia agents and toxins Automatic secondary air sample collection onto standard bioaerosol collection filters like PTFE and gelatin filters for further BWA analysis at the time of a biological alarm. The collected samples can be used for direct microscopic analysis or retrieved from the filters with a simple rinsing protocol for provisional or confirmatory BWA analysis with PCR/real-time techniques. Based on results from indoor and outdoor measurement campaigns using typical biological simulants, ENVI BioScout is capable of detecting the average of 100 agent containing particles per liter of air (ACPLA) an responding even in a half a minute or less time to intentionally released biological agents.
