The portable Dräger AFU 180 has been designed specifically to protect mobile applications against atomic, chemical, or biological threats from warfare agents or viruses. Product Details The NBC Protection System’s components comply with the NATO supply specification AEP 54, and the filters are certified according to German Army Specification. The Dräger AFU 180 has a rated airflow of 180 cbm/h which can optionally be increased up to 250 cbm/h. The fresh air fed through the Dräger NBC protection system is freed from contamination or from NBC agents during missions. For the occupants' comfort, particularly under extreme climatic conditions, the purified air from the Dräger NBC Protection System can be passed through a heating or air-conditioning system. Filtration is effected by a pre-coarse dust filter (optional), an NBC particulate matter filter, and an NBC gas filter. The unit can be ordered optionally either as a pressure or evacuation (suction) system.
